MAHARASHTRA'S 2,350 AIDED ASHRAM SCHOOLS ARE THE PERSONAL ATMs OF MLAs & MPs - GOVT MUST TAKE THEM OVER - KISHORE TIWARI

Maharashtra calls itself progressive, but even today Adivasi, Dalit and Nomadic Tribe children are dying from snake bites, bathing in ice-cold water, and eating rotten food in state-funded schools. This is not an accident. This is institutional murder for profit.

WHY DID OUR DAUGHTERS DIE IN DHANORA?

Three innocent Adivasi girls died of snakebite last week in Dhanora, Gadchiroli. They were sleeping on the floor - there were no cots. Walls cracked, no window mesh, no lights. Snakes and scorpions enter every night. No vehicle, no medicine, no doctor to save them. A few days before that, a 5-year-old girl died of snakebite in Amgaon Mahal because the Primary Health Centre had no doctor.

THE BIGGEST EDUCATION SCAM OF MAHARASHTRA - Rs 46,000 CRORES LOOTED

This is a cross-party loot that started under Congress and continues under BJP. For decades under Congress-led governments, it was an unwritten rule: Give FIVE Government-Aided Ashram Schools to every ruling party MLA and MP. These schools became their bread and butter. When the government changed in 2014, all these Congress education barons shifted to BJP overnight. Same owners, different flags. Now they are looting thousands of crores of public money under the BJP government.

The data is from the government itself:

• Tribal Development Dept: 552 Govt schools sanctioned, but 556 AIDED schools run by private trusts of ex and sitting MPs/MLAs. Govt pays 100% salary. • OBC & Nomadic Tribes Welfare Dept: 977 Ashram Schools. Yavatmal alone has 80, Beed, Nandurbar, Nashik 50-60 each. • Social Justice Dept: 322 schools for Scheduled Castes.

Total: 2,350 schools. Annual Grant: Rs 1,300 - 1,500 Crores. Total loot in 35 years: Rs 46,000 Crores. 

For this money, they could not give a child a cot, a mattress, a toilet, or a teacher.

IAS OFFICERS SAID "CLOSE THEM", CM OFFICE THREW REPORT IN DUSTBIN

The quality of education and facilities is pathetic. Every Project Officer of the Integrated Tribal Development Project [ITDP] - who are IAS officers - has strongly recommended in writing to cancel the permissions of these schools and stop the aid. But the Chief Minister's Office has shown the dustbin to these reports. Why? Because the owners are MLAs and MPs themselves.

Look at Pusad: 10 schools each in the name of Manoharrao Naik, Babasaheb Naik, Pramilatai Naik families in one taluka alone. Yavatmal Guardian Minister Sanjay Rathod is leading this. His party's district head Harihar Lingarwar is a teacher in an aided school who has not attended school even once in 25 years. From Congress's Shivajirao Moghe, Vasantrao Purke, Manikrao Thakre to BJP's Rajendra Dange, Shriram Melkewar and Atre - all are education emperors. The only exception is Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis himself and Tribal Minister Ashok Uike - they have never opened a single aided school for personal profit.

100% ON PAPER, 50% IN REALITY - ONE CHILD ENROLLED IN 6 SCHOOLS

This is the biggest fraud. In these Ashram Schools, 100% students are shown on the roll to claim rice, dal, eggs, uniform, shoes, oil, soap, and grant. But in reality, not even 50% students are present. One tribal child is enrolled in 5 to 6 different government-aided ashram schools at the same time to siphon off money. Teachers are not teachers, they are party workers. Appoint a worker, take back 50% of his salary.

This is why there is no ideology left in Maharashtra. There are only Ashram Schools. The day a grant file gets stuck, the leader changes party. Morning in one party, evening in another. This is not party defection, this is GRANT-MIGRATION. They sell the whole party, break MLAs, and mortgage morality just to save their 5-10 Ashram Schools. Because one school means Rs 2-3 crores of booty per year.

HIGH COURT SLAMMED GOVT IN 2017, DEATHS HAVE DOUBLED SINCE THEN

On a PIL by Ravindra Talpe, Justices R.M. Savant and Sadhana Jadhav of Bombay High Court observed in 2017: "793 children died in the last decade due to snake bite, scorpion bite, fever, food poisoning. Children are being killed by making them bathe in ice-cold water, this will not be tolerated."

In 2017 the death toll was 793. In 2026 it has crossed 1,200. TISS report has also exposed this hell.

THE CHIEF MINISTER KNOWS AND IS KEEPING A BLIND EYE. NOW THE GADCHIROLI TRAGEDY HAS BROUGHT THE TRUTH BEFORE SOCIETY.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has never opened an aided school in his political life and has exposed this corruption before. Now power is in his hands.

KISHORE TIWARI FOUR DEMANDS TO CHIEF MINISTER DEVENDRA FADNAVIS:

1. Immediate Nationalization: Take over all 2,350 aided Ashram Schools. Permanently ban all political trusts and leaders of all parties.

2. File Case of Culpable Homicide: File a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder against the trustees of Dhanora Ashram School responsible for the death of three girls.

3. Provide Human Facilities: Every child must get a cot, mattress, clean toilet, hot water, CCTV, female warden, and full-time doctor.

4. Direct Benefit Transfer: Till nationalization, give the grant directly to the School Management Committee where 75% members are parents, not to the politicians.
